Our events are for anyone who loves connection, community, and a little bit of fun. Whether you're single, a supportive friend, or just love watching creative pitches, you’re welcome..

We especially attract folks who enjoy live events, meeting new people, and cheering others on—our crowd is diverse, inclusive, and always up for a good time.
At each event, friends who’ve signed up to pitch take the stage to introduce their incredible single friends to the audience—think fun, creative, and often hilarious presentations that highlight what makes their friend a total catch.

After the pitches and during breaks, we roll into the “Single Mingle,” a relaxed social time where the audience can mix, mingle, and connect with the singles (and their enthusiastic hype crew!). Don't worry, we will have stickers to make easy to identify who is single and who isn't!

We also sprinkle in some light-hearted games and silly activities throughout the night to keep the energy high and the laughs coming.

Overall, it’s a super casual, entertaining way to meet new people, make connections, and have a genuinely fun time.
Absolutely—all of our events are LGBTQ+ friendly. We’re all about creating inclusive, welcoming spaces where everyone feels seen and celebrated.

We also host LGBTQ+ focused nights from time to time to connect even more intentionally—so keep an eye on our calendar! And even when a night has a specific theme or focus, all are welcome to attend, mingle, and enjoy the vibe.
The best way to connect with someone who was pitched is to catch them in person during the event—especially during the Single Mingle time. It's a relaxed time designed for exactly that: making connections.

Also, keep an eye on the screen during the mingle! The last slide of every pitch includes the best way to contact the person being pitched—whether it’s their social handle, email, or other preferred method—and those slides are put on rotation throughout the mingle. So whether you connect in real life or grab their info from the screen, we’ve got you covered.
The best pitches come from the heart. It’s all about showing off your friend in an honest, personal, and charming way. The more unique your pitch is, the more it’ll stand out—and most importantly, connect with the right people.

If you’re into visuals, Canva’s got tons of easy templates you can build on. Just have fun with it, keep it real, and let your friend’s awesomeness shine.
You’ve got up to 5 minutes to win some hearts (on behalf of your friend, of course). Most people keep it simple—a few slides, some great anecdotes, maybe a couple of jokes. But honestly? You can do whatever you want, as long as it’s positive and shows your friend in their best light.

Want to do a dramatic reading of their Hinge profile? Go for it. A slideshow with baby photos and testimonials from their grandma? Iconic. Interpretive dance? Bold. A catchy jingle? We’d love that.
This isn’t a high-stakes competition—but the more creative, heartfelt, or hilarious you make it, the better your friend will shine.

Just make sure the last slide includes the best way to connect with your friend along with a picture! We will put this last slide on rotation during the mingle time along with the other featured singles.

Bring the energy, bring the charm, and have some fun with it!
Yes, absolutely—you can come solo! In fact, many of our audience members do. If you’d feel more comfortable knowing you’ll have someone to sit with, just let us know—we’re happy to help you find a buddy for the event.

Or, feel free to walk up and ask to join someone with an open seat. It’s a friendly crowd, and we’re all about meeting new people and making new connections. You’ll fit right in!
The average age of participants being pitched is 31, with a range from 21 to 65, depending on the event.

From time to time, we host age-specific events—check out our calendar to see what’s coming up!
Typically, 6-11 pitches are presented at an event, depending on the venue size and the specific chapter location.
Typically our events are free to attend however some locations and venues may require a ticket ahead of time. This will be clearly indicated on the event details on our website.
Most of our events do not require you to register in advance—but some locations or venues might. If a ticket is needed, it’ll be clearly noted in the event details on our website.
While not required, it is HIGHLY encouraged that the person being pitched attends the event. The person being pitched should also be aware that they are being pitched. It’s a special experience: getting hyped up in front of a crowd that’s genuinely rooting for you. We want everyone to feel seen, celebrated, and maybe even a little flattered!

Plus, being there makes it easy for anyone who’s curious to say hi—and who knows, your friend might just spot someone interesting in the audience too.
Nope, not at all! You don’t have to be single to pitch—just willing to hype up your friend in a fun, positive way and brave enough to do it in front of a crowd. That’s what it’s all about!
If you are single, pitching is also a sneaky-great way to put yourself out there while doing something awesome for your friend. Win-win!
Currently, we do not allow self-pitching. We encourage you to attend the event to enjoy the presentations and participate in the "single mingle."
Seating varies by venue. Most Pitch-A-Friend events are open seating, so it's first come, first served. If you're coming with a large group or have specific needs, we recommend calling the venue in advance—let them know you're attending Pitch-A-Friend and they may be able to help. Some venues also accept reservations.

For non-ticketed events, we can’t guarantee seating, so coming early is the best way to snag a good spot!
Yes! You may have up to two presenters for a specific pitch. Just make sure to include the co-presenters name in the comments sections of your pitch request form.
Absolutely! Mutual friend-pitching is a fan favorite. Just make sure you both fill out the pitch request form separately—no tag-teaming the paperwork.
Because there are limited spots, we do not typically allow a presenter to pitch more than one friend. You can submit a separate request for the second friend, and we can waitlist you to determine if there’s space closer to the event. Each request submission is for one friend only.
Cancellations are rare, but they do happen—sometimes just days before the event. If a spot opens up close to the date, we’ll offer it to multiple people on the waitlist, and it’ll go to the first person who confirms.

Best move? Have your slides ready to go, just in case. That way, if your moment comes, you’re ready to shine!
We recommend arriving early, especially for non-ticketed events or if you want to grab a good seat. Arriving early gives you time to settle in, grab a drink, and start mingling!
