Presenter Rules & Guidelines

Thinking about pitching?
Check out our process, requirements, and some examples for Pitch-A-Friend Mumbai before you submit your request to pitch!

Pitch Sign Up Process:

  1. Submit the Pitch Request Form. Spots are limited, so submit early — even if your presentation isn’t ready yet! Requesting to pitch does not guarantee a spot until you are officially confirmed.
    • Events where all pitch spots are full will be marked as (WAITLIST). You can still sign up to join the waitlist, and we'll notify you if a spot opens up.
    • After submitting the form, you’ll automatically receive an email with next steps. If you don’t see it, please check your junk or spam folder — or contact us.
  2. Confirm and Pay for your Spot. After submitting your form, lock in your spot by sending ₹300 Google Pay UPI payment to vaibhavmehta.mehta6-2@oksbi. This small fee shows you’re committed to presenting. You’ll get an email once your spot is confirmed.
    • 📌 Include your name and the event date in the transaction details if possible.
    • 📌 Waitlisted? Do not send payment yet — we'll notify you if a spot opens.
    • 📌 Cancellation Policy: Please email us at least 4 days prior to the event to be eligible for a refund.
  3. Create and Share Your Pitch. Email your materials to mumbai@pitch-a-friend.com anytime up to 5 days prior to the event. You’ll receive email reminders leading up to the event.
    📁 Preferred Formats:
    • Google Slides or Canva: Share a direct link.
    • PowerPoint files: We will convert them to Google Slides for easy access.
    • Videos: Share a direct link.
    • Live Performances: Send us details.

Pitch Requirements:

  1. You must sign up in advance to request a pitch spot. Spots are limited, so submit early, even if your presentation isn't ready. Requesting to pitch does not guarantee you a spot. Instructions for confirming your spot are detailed on the sign-up form and are additionally emailed to you once your form is submitted. Events with full slots will be marked as (WAITLIST). You can join the wait list for cancellations, and we'll notify you accordingly.
  2. Keep it positive! This is NOT a roast. This event is to promote friends in a positive and fun way with the goal of helping them make a new connection!
  3. Keep it Clean. Please refrain from including nudity or inappropriate imagery.
  4. Get Creative. Whether it’s a PowerPoint, a video montage, a live skit, a heartfelt speech, or even an original song, the stage is yours! The more unique, the better.
  5. Keep it between 3-5 minutes! Be imaginative, but aim to keep your "pitch" under 5 minutes. We recommend clearly stating the individual's preferred pronouns, sexual orientation, and age in the pitch.
  6. Notify us about changes in plans. We understand that things come up, and sometimes plans change. Since spots are limited for each event, we appreciate you letting us know as soon as possible if you need to cancel. This allows us to open your spot for another single to participate. Please email us at least 4 days prior to the event to be eligible for a refund.
