About the Pitch-A-Pet Program

At select Pitch-A-Friend events, we feature an adoptable pet to help connect them with loving homes. Thanks to partnerships with local shelters and foster families, attendees get to know each pet’s unique story and personality through a few short slides. At our dog-friendly venues, pets may even attend the event in person to meet potential adopters. We are thrilled to grow this program and continue to support local rescues and foster families in finding the perfect match. Participation is open to all local shelters and foster families. Please make sure to reach the instructions below!

How to Participate

• Create 2-4 slides featuring your adoptable pet to submit in our form below. Use our premade template here. Just go to File → Make a Copy and update any information you’d like! Get creative with it.
• Choose whether or not you’d like to attend in person our have your Chapter Host present your pet at an upcoming event.
• Want to bring the pet to the event? If your foster pet thrives at other adoption events and is not reactive to strangers or other dogs, you can bring them along to an event of ours that is at a pet friendly location. Ensure you have a second handler to supervise your pet outside the presentation area.

What to Include in your Slides

• Highlight the pet’s outstanding qualities.
• Describe their ideal home.
• Include contact information for further inquiries, social media following, or arranging meetups.
• Presentations should be a maximum of 2-4 slides max!
